Former Trump campaign deputy chairman Rick Gates allegedly communicated with an unnamed person with ties to a Russian intelligence service in September and October of 2016, Special Counsel Robert Mueller found as part of his investigation into Russian meddling and potential collusion with Trump campaign associates during the presidential election.
